Installation Guidelines
- Install the meter so that it always remains full of liquid.
- Keep at least 5D of straight pipe upstream and 3D downstream, where D is the pipe diameter.
- Choose a location free from bends, elbows, tees, valves and similar fittings.
Minimum and Maximum Flow by Line Size
Velocity range: 0.2 m/s for minimum and 12 m/s for maximum. LPM is litres per minute, LPS litres per second and USGPM US gallons per minute.

How does an electromagnetic flow meter work?
It applies Faraday's law of induction: a conductive liquid flowing through a magnetic field induces a voltage proportional to its velocity, which the converter turns into a flow reading.
What is the price of an electromagnetic flow meter?

What straight pipe length does a flow meter need?
At least 5 times the pipe diameter upstream and 3 times downstream, and the pipe must always run full.
Can an electromagnetic flow meter measure oil or clean gas?
No. The liquid must be electrically conductive (above 5 microsiemens per cm). Oils and other non-conductive fluids need a different technology.
